Gold Sunday - Sunday Activities

The boys are now having a highly intellectual conversation about the Lord of the Rings with impressions of Arogon, Gimik and of course the Orcs. They bear quite a resemblance! Anyway we are having a great time and the cake is really good. We love Porthpean!

Jasper Saturday - Seminar and High Ropes

Whilst waiting for the seminar to start an impromptu noise happened. Ian's Ipod and speakers were blasting a song or two and everyone was joining in whilst Rachel and Hannah performed a spectacular Penguin Dance followed by a cat walk. It was all very funny. (Some artistic license from the editor because he couldn't read what was actually written!).

Later on after lunch we completed the high ropes course which included a zip wire run and a leap of faith - both were great.

Becca and El won the crate challenge with 12 crates stacked on top of each other before they toppled over! whilst the boys discovered how painful full body harnesses can be!

Gold Saturday - Climbing and Mountain Biking

The Revolution has begun!

Armed only with a sharp wit and quick mind, our favourite hero has once again begun that ever constant quest. The odds are high, the omens are stark, yet fearlessly, our man of hope, of truth and of honour has begun that long and treacherous road to victory. It has begun.

The boards were out to witness in full the first of his most powerful victories. One versus many, our strong hero gave as good as he received, despite the horrifically unfair advantage that lay before him. Joined by several comrades strong of heart and full of belief in their hero's abilities, the stroke was struck and the noble gathering departed from the field of battle victorious.

(Editor - what this has to do with Climbing and mountain biking I have no idea but I believe that Rugby might come into it and also that the Gold(en) boys talked a lot about The Lord of the Rings suggesting they had a fantastic imagination!)
