Cycling went well to say the least. Me and Rob were rubbish at it. Rob was clever enough to stop but I carried on and ripped off half my trousers and bruised my body entirely – Owen!
We went climbing. The Jasper team won the smiley face game. We ate our carrot mascot for lunch (oops). We then went on the high ropes! – Jasper Girls!
Rob fell off the climbing wall lots and we discovered that Becca likes postman pat
Saw the rare lesser spotted Cornish cave sheep, were captured by pirates and were forced to walk the plank in the glacial waters, we swam with man eating sharks and jelly fish and finished the day off with the heroic defeat and capture of St Catherine’s castle.
The Skoda Car-Stle masterpiece (see photo) produced by the leaders! The boys made a hole which became a small paddling pool as the tide came in. The girls created a multilateral creation named Peter. Quiet time was interrupted by a heavy shower but we soldiered on, making unleavened bread, tasting similar to a dodgy pancake.
In the afternoon the members planned worship whilst the leaders nipped out for a sneaky cream tea or two!
Today we: Rescued a bench, stacked on cycling, attempted no footed climbing - ouch - but fun, completed no footed climbing.
Also, Angus cycled through a ditch full of water only to end up doing a superman headlong dive into the unexpectant Kim who was taken down into the mud as a result!
News Flash.... Spike put himself in mortal peril to save a young girl's life when he slammed on his brakes after seeing the girl fall over in front of him. He catapulted over the handle bars, completed a full 180 flip landing on his head, hands and left elbow. Both escaped relatively unharmed as for the bikes...!
Later on in the day, Kim and Sarah got attacked by auto harnesses as they were pulled up and did a spider man like jump!
One piece of advice: do not wear a white tee shirt whilst mountain biking!
Loving the food :) Canoeing was really good, especially when combined with swimming because the crazy cousins (Emma and Rachel) jumped over board!
Our village is the best and definitely has the best leaders!
